Dana was born in the city of Chicago in 1961. He studied his craft at THE ART INSTITUTE of CHICAGO, and at The Art Instruction School of Minnesota. He has numerous awards for his work and has had his work displayed in  Wyler's Children's Hospital in Chicago, Orange County Animal Control, Private homes,and with private collectors.He specializes in portraits of people and animals, rendered in Acrylic, watercolors,pastels, and pencil /graphite. He sold his first painting at the age of 15, and has been working as a freelance artist since then. Currently residing in Southern California, he continues to paint the fascinating and diverse lives of both humans and animals, of our loving and most creative creator.
